The Asteri pattern includes two options: an elegant sleeveless midi dress, and a stylish vest top. Both variations are unlined, and feature a princess cut, V-neck, and buttoning at the front. The waist pleats give a nice volume to the pencil skirt of the dress, while the split back hem ensures comfort. The vest includes buckled tab at the back waist for adjusting ease.

Fabric suggestions
For either variation, choose a light to medium-weight non-stretch fabric with low drape. Avoid heavy fabrics, as they make the garment more difficult to sew. Various linen and cotton fabrics are well suited for this garment.
The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.
